Frequently Asked
Questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most — about our services, technologies, compliance, and maintenance.
General
3 questionsWhy should I choose EcoPure Filtrations?
+EcoPure Filtrations offers customized, eco-friendly solutions tailored to meet wastewater management needs within budget. We combine state-of-the-art technology with environmental responsibility, delivering systems that are typically 20–30% more cost-effective than conventional market offerings — without compromising on quality or compliance.
What is the purpose of an STP or ETP?
+STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) systems treat wastewater to remove contaminants, pathogens, and pollutants — making the water safe for discharge or reuse. They help protect the environment, conserve water resources, and ensure your facility complies with CPCB and Pollution Control Board norms.
What standards do you follow for treating sewage?
+We strictly adhere to CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) and local KSPCB (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) discharge norms. Every system we design is tested and commissioned to meet or exceed the applicable statutory standards before handover.
Our Services
3 questionsWhat makes EcoPure’s STP/ETP solutions unique?
+Our systems are designed based on site-specific factors — effluent characteristics, flow rates, space constraints, reuse requirements, and budget — rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. This ensures optimal treatment performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational efficiency tailored to your exact needs.
What does your revamping service include?
+Our revamping service covers a full performance audit of your existing STP/ETP system, identification of inefficiencies, process redesign, equipment replacement or retrofitting, PLC/IoT automation upgrades, and performance testing. The goal is to restore compliance and efficiency without requiring a complete plant replacement — saving time and cost.
How long does a typical project take?
+A typical STP or ETP project from design approval to commissioning takes 3–4 months, depending on plant size, site conditions, and scope of work. Revamping projects are generally faster. We provide a detailed project timeline before work begins so you can plan accordingly.
Technology
3 questionsWhat is the difference between SBR and MBR technology?
+SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) is a proven, cost-effective biological treatment process that operates in cycles — ideal for small to medium applications with standard discharge requirements. MBR (Membrane Bio-Reactor) combines biological treatment with membrane filtration, producing superior-quality treated water suitable for direct reuse. MBR has a 50% smaller footprint but higher capital cost. We recommend the right technology based on your specific requirements.
Can the treated water be reused or used for drinking?
+Treated water from our STP/ETP systems is suitable for non-potable reuse such as gardening, flushing, cooling towers, and utilities. For drinking purposes, it must undergo additional purification through RO (Reverse Osmosis) and UV treatment. MBR systems produce higher-quality effluent that is closer to potable standards, but drinking suitability still requires further treatment.
Do your systems support IoT monitoring and remote access?
+Yes. All our new systems are built with PLC-based automation and can be integrated with IoT monitoring platforms. This allows real-time performance tracking, remote alerts, and data logging — giving you visibility into your plant’s operation without requiring a dedicated on-site operator at all times.
Maintenance & AMC
3 questionsWhat does your AMC contract cover?
+Our Annual Maintenance Contract includes scheduled preventive maintenance visits, monthly inspection of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, chemical dosing optimization, filter backwash every 6 months, sludge management guidance, PLC/automation system checks, and compliance documentation support. The exact scope is customized based on your plant size and technology.
What is the warranty on your systems?
+We offer a 1-year warranty on all electro-mechanical components supplied and installed by us. Civil works are subject to standard construction norms. After the warranty period, we recommend enrolling in our AMC programme to ensure continued performance, compliance, and equipment longevity.
Do you provide operator training after installation?
+Yes. After commissioning, we provide comprehensive operator training covering day-to-day plant operation, routine checks, chemical dosing procedures, and basic troubleshooting. Our team remains available for post-installation support and guidance, ensuring your staff can operate the system confidently from day one.
